amazons in brackish

Has anyone experienced success with this? The one i put in my puffer tank died....rapidly. The anacharis and the java fern are doing well, but swords dont seem to live long. anyone have a differing experience?
Planted tanks are all about shrimp.

I'm going to plant my puffer tank too, has a "brackish adaptable" plant section. Amazons are not on the list, but Anacharis and Java Fern are. What's your WPG on the brackish tank?

I don't think they would. They come from an area where the water consistently has a fairly low pH and hardness level. Doesn't seem like a good idea.

IME java fern and java moss and java fern are the only growing brackish plants.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
