Keeping ramshorns

I have a few ramshorn hitch hikers from some plants I got. I don't really like them in my shrimp tanks, but I thought since I have them now it might be fun to keep them and watch how they reproduce with different levels of food. I don't really want to do anything more complex than put them in a bucket of water with an air bubbler. It gets around 40 degrees F at night here (60 during the day). Will they be alright and reproduce getting that cold each night?
