New breed! Houdini Shrimp

I bought 4 Amano shrimp for my 10gal a couple months back. Shortly thereafter (roughly 2 weeks later), all four are gone. I couldn't figure out what happened to them considering the tank had a lid and the only other inhabitants were some albino cories.

Fast forward to today. I went to switch outlets underneath the fish tank and lo-and-behold, there were two dead shrimp. Started looking around - another dead shrimp just outside my bedroom door in a corner.

Apparently, these guys were just not having it with my tank. I'm surprised they could last that long and travel so far outside of the water, though I do suppose they seem more sturdy than say, ghost shrimp. Better secure my lid better if I decide to grab some more :/

Sorry for your loss man. That's probably why
I keep my water level 3 inches below the top.

I had this happen with a couple of my amano's too. Atleast you found yours. Mine is probably a dried shrimp carcass somewhere in the garage.

Happened with some crays of mine. One time my dog came trotting up to me with a marmorkreb in her mouth

If your amano's are crawling out they might not like the water parameters. Same thing happend to me, then I figured out the nitrates were high. After a water change they stopped jumping out.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
