females running away


is it normal for females to runaway from males? one of my females just molted and the males are going crazy and every time they find her, she darts away. just wondering what the reason could be

i've watched like 5 males attack a female for like 10 mins straight to the point where i thought the female was gonna die. she just got berried later. who knows who the father is... haha

o haha looks like you were right, she did end up getting berried. i was worried because she's one of the adults i recently purchased and two of them died after molting for some reason. so im happy to see that this one is berried. also her berries are green which is a first for me. but yay more berries!

I think my fire red males chase the females at night... I've never seen any chasing but I do have some berried females

Getting out of the tank is an issue not germane to molting problems. I'd check your water quality.

And the running is playing hard to get :P
