what to do in Pittsburgh.....

I have lived her 1 year moved form philly... and all i have to say is... their isn't anything to do around here.

And as far as tanks stuff... 3 half ass LFS's and a local breeder that breeds killies and cory's.

Hrmmm has anyone heard anything good about the Pittsburgh Aquarium?

Not too bad lately! The city dug up my whole damn yard--one of our drainage pipes was completely broken, leading to massive dirt dams about 5 feet from the house, hence the lovely spring and early summer floods. Any public aquarium should be fun--haven't been to P'burghs (and dropped the Meadville girlfriend so I probably won't get there soon!) But I've been to the one in Chicago, Boston and Baltimore and that's the thing I remember best about all those cities.....take care and talk to ya' soon...

I'd contact the Greater Pittsburgh Aquaium Society as far as fish stuff in Pittsburgh. I think one of our members here in OKC came from there and he said the club was pretty active. You might be able to network with some breeders/wholesalers or at least find some local knowldege of whats going on around town.

They've got their Fall Auction coming up in a month or so.

Seriously, folks, I'm considering the University of Pittsburgh for my residency--is the city that bad? I visited once on an interview trip and it was a much prettier town than I'd imagined. Too boring, though?
