Is that bottle capped? That might suffocate the shrimp.

Nope, not capped. They do great. You'll notice a molt in the middle-ish area. I've never lost any of the shrimp I've kept this way (doing it for 6 months)...alas...I wish I could say the same of all my tanks. I have a berried cherry shrimp in another one.

I really like that! I have a vase that is probably just over .5 gallon. I'd love to do this with. What sort of care does a setup like that require?

I change 50% of the water once a week. I feed shrimp cuisine by Kyorin. I have two bottles with java moss that do just fine on the ambient fluorescent lights in my office. The one in the picture and another one with java fern and java moss are in a south facing window. Super easy.
