Cloudy water help

Hello fellow aquatic gardeners, I have a bit of an issue:
I changed one of the filter pads in my sump last week, and rinsed the other in tank water, and ever since, I've had cloudy water. Not green or anything like that, just cloudy.
If i do a WC, it clears up to almost normal levels, but by the next day, its cloudy again, and I have no idea why. Any insights?
