Nano Plumbing Advice Plz

Here is my situtaion please lend all advice neccesary.

Hi my name is Matt and i have some questions about drilling a aquarium. Currently my plan is to drill one 1 3/4'' hole in a 15 gallon right in the back wall in the center because that is where its the most strong, then put a bulk head that is 1/2 inch inside there. After that i want to put pvc pipe on the inside of the bulk head that leads up to the water level where i will put a strainer. On the outside of the bulk head i will put tubing that leads to the sump.

Right now my question is about what exact tools i need to do this, what i know i need is a dremmel and the right size diamond drill bit. but thats about all i know. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. If you have any advice regarding plans please say so.

Also the All Glass website says my aquarium is not tempered on the bottom but what about the sides. But i am not sure about what the rule is about drilling in tempered glass.

If this is a one time deal, it may be cheaper (and a whole lot easier) to take it to a local glass shop and have them drill the hole for you.

Typically, as I understand it, if the bottom is not tempered, the sides won't be tempered either. Usually if any of the tank glass is tempered, it's the bottom.

A 1 3/4" hole is for a 1" bulkhead.
