Considering upgrade to fugeray
I have a 29g standard tank. It is 30"x12"x18.5". Light would be 16" from substrate. I was thinking of getting two 12" fugerays and running them equally spaced front to back. Or should I get one 30 Inch ray 2? I was going to do diy co2 for now and am about to start ei based ferts. I can't afford pressurized co2 right now unless I go Aquatekor someone buys one of my rc toys . Any thoughts? Air stones are about to go. Just finished a bout with ich.....

Ignore my melted Florida sunset crypt on the right.... I hope it comes back. It melted with the temp raise. There are some other crypts in there that melted when I put them in. They include Lucen, spiralis and Green geckos. I'm hoping they all come back.

A ray II would put you at medium light - I'm not sure about the fuge ray. What type of lighting are you looking for?
As for the aquatech regulators: go for it! They have a newer regulator that's around $80 that has an adjustable working pressure. The needle valve is a little finicky but other than that its pretty solid in my experience. I haven't looked into replacing the needle valve but I'm assuming that's something you can do to make it a tad more stable. |

I want to be able to grow a nice carpet of dwarf hair grass or baby tears. I thought maybe 2 fugerays would give me better light spread.

after reading hoppys par thread, i was under the impression that the regular 30" fugeray would be considered medium light for a 29 if it is sitting right on the tank. so i would think that would be fine for ya
might run into algae problems with the ray2 |
