Looking for a wood that resembles roots. My goal is to have a stump/roots made out of several pieces instead of buying one complete stump. I have been looking into redmoor but it is hard to find. Any suggestions on where to get some nice pieces of redmoor or something similar?

If you have any bodies of water near you, I'd go out for a hike and see what you can turn up.
Otherwise, you might want to take a look at manzanita branches, I believe they are used in floral arrangements and weddings and such, and a lot of them look pretty good, if you turned it upside down, it would probably pass for roots (especially if you cut all of the branches level, and put them in the substrate) |
