Hey people, just thought I'd post a couple of pics of my 10g.
Tank info: Volume: 10 gallons Lighting: Power glo 20 watt flourescent 18,000 k Filtration: Ehiem 2008 DIY C02 5 mg/l Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate 0 pH: 7 kH: 7 Inhabitants: 8 cardinals,2 otocinclus,1 male betta Plants: Echinodorus tenellus pigmy chain sword, Microsorium pteropus java fern, Bacopa monnieri dwarf bacopa, Riccia fluitans crystal wart, Hygrophila difformis water wisteria, vallisneria, anubias nana, amazon sword and some sort of hygro. Any way enought chit chat, on with the pics. Back in april just after planing ![]() 4 months later and its turned into a nano jungle! ![]() Right angle veiw ![]() Male betta ![]() Cardinals ![]() Comments? |

Beautiful! I like the combination of the slow, curious Male Betta and the school of colorful Cardinals.

Are these real?

As plants grow even bigger, I would re-arrange them to create more definite groups or areas. For ex, I would move ALL wisterias to the right side, to cover up the pump, instead of having pop up one here and one there.
Even though the Betta and Cardinals contrast nicely with the green plants, think about adding one or a few red plants for variety. Also, I love fine-leaved plants, and I would add something like a Myriophyllum or Cabomba as a contrast to the broader leaves. But... looks good as it is too

yea. jungle does not mean put the same plant in different areas of tank. the jungle style is looking for order in disorder. 8)

Very healthy plants, algae free... that 18,000k bulb really shows some vibrant colors in your fish dont it ? ![]() Nicely done... Buck 8)
