Aponogeton madagascariensis - Lace plant. Growing!!
Hi
Its growing like crazy. I mean GROWING! But its not lacing. I have maybe one or two 'windows' in one of the leaves, but its not lacing. Any ideas? 26 Bow front. T5HO, 79 degrees, no CO2. Love the plant... its going to take over the planet soon.... it'd be nice if this lace plant would, you know, actually LACE! Thanks -Ken |

Sorry, but that does not look like an aponogeton madagariensis...
It is also said that these plants change to adapt to different water flows... I hope this helped |

It might be a hybrid, seems to be very common among Aponogeton Species, i has the look of lace, minus the lace.

yah, different plant then lace. But if you can do this with that plant, lace is pretty much the same. I'm waiting on mine to explode in growth as well. I used to have a big one that would send up a few flower stalks now and then, but I'm waiting on it to come back.

hahahaha
That is so not the lace plant it was labeled as. But I love it. Its so long, and in the back of this very heavily planted tank, it looks great - swaying slowly in the breeze. It is the queen of the tank- and I dig it. And now I know what it is! Thanks |
