crystal red S grade breeding
What type of paramaters do S grade CRS need to breed?
Higher grades need lower PH, lower grades don't seem to be as picky.. and S i'm guessing is some where in the middle. Anyone that have S grade that are breeding.. what are your water parameters?

According to shrimp breeders here, S-SSS all carry the same genes and for the most part all should be kept in the same water.

aim for their ideal parameters.
http://www.shrimpkeeping.com/ and maintain stability. Provide enough surface area for beneficial bacteria to grow and you'll create a healthy environment for these guys to feel comfortable in. Aim for this as the ability to breed is only a result of this.

The days of higher grades being harder are sort of over, if you can breed a decent stock A grade, you can breed a decent stock SSS+. The key is decent stock coming from someone who add's new genes to their breeding, culls defects, etc.
Even the past 2 years, taiwan bee's have gotten a lot easier to breed.

So far I just have neos, but want to try CRS. I personally prefer the look of the S/A grade over the higher grades.
Do you guys use tap water and driftwood to lower the PH or option in for RO water with CRS?

Where abouts in Canada are you? West coast gets near RO water from the taps because of the mountains. GTA area has high ph/gh/kh water and not idea for crystals.
Driftwood and hard water won't do much at all.
