I dose first thing in the morning right after the tank lights come on. The plants take in the light to stimulate growth and nutrients in the water to provide nourishment to sustain the growth. I like to dilute both macro and micro nutrients in the treated water I use to top off my tanks. All my tanks are open, so I top them off 2 to 3 times per week. The land and aquatic plants seem to like the feeding routine. The Pennywort grows outside the tank. See attached pics. B

Obsessed? Maybe

As long as you've got a constant supply of nutrients in the water, it won't matter what time of day you dose.

Probably more important to find a consistant time in your schedule so you don't forget. I used to do it in the morning before going to work now, I do it at night, right after feeding the fish.
It didn't seem to make a difference. |
