so whats the difference between USPS

tracking and confirmation delivery?

when i go ship, i ask for confirmation delivery and get a little slip with time stamp and the number to track it....

i just drop of a priiority mail and the worker say it has tracking already..which i need ...so have i been dupe for paying extras for the little slip? she say every priority box comes with tracking..

it say on the recipt the label number which i assume is the tracking?

If you purchase postage online, it comes with free delivery confirmation

If you purchase at the post office, it costs extra.

whether you have your labels printed at home or at the post office- same inefficient tracking, different cost

Delivery confirmation is what the usps calls tracking.

They don't have an actual tracking service.

Well you buy the delivery comfimation because when they do the last scan when it gets deliveried. Saying "delivered"
So the buyer cant say " I never got the package" when they really did... and vice vesa.

I wonder y some ppl still charge $1 for tracking when its free if you print it off paypal.
Why make ppl pay 7 instead of 6?

Yeah sounds weird to charge a dollar for tracking, when tracking is only 59 cents anyway if you pay at the post office.
