My Furry family

I share our home with a rather large ( very spoiled ) fuzzy family. We currently have

5 rats: 1 big neutered 31 month old male named Apollo, two beautiful 1 year old girls Mei and Ember and two 3 month old girls Aura and Iris

2 hamsters : 16 month old Lynx our white faced Robo boy , 17 month old Bear our Sapphire Winter White

1 Cat : Emma our almost 2 year old Torti

And last but not least the only non- fuzzy member of our family ... Finn the Betta who we have had less than 2 weeks

I have LOTS of pictures but I do not want to spam everyone lol

There is nothing wrong with my keyboard I just hit skyblue instead of royal blue

Does your cat get along with the rats? I would think they would be dinner or play toys?

LOL My cat is Terrified of the rats. They LOVE her my sweet little Mei follows her around wondering what the heck her tail is. But since I got my oldest ( Apollo) and her at the same time and they were the same size Emma has learned rats are not toys and are not to be messed with, Add to that Apollo finds it fun to torture her and you get a cat who avoids rats.

She actually doesnt even bother my hamsters she just watches them and when they do escape ( its happened a few times ) With dwarf hams she brings them to me unharmed and with Syrian hamsters she just follows them around until I notice her odd behavior and put it back.

In fact the only thing she will kill are mice and even that she tries bringing me first.

No kitten pics! You're gonna make me go out and get a kitten. Such a cute kitten, is it a toe biter while ya sleep? Amusing to think that I actually miss my kittens doing that lol.

No ... but she does eat plastic and headphones ... and hunt my boyfriend ... actually Emma is a story on why not to get a cat ... her vet bills have cost us A lot

Rats are very smart

they all know their names but I have never taught them tricks or anything they are such love bugs

I go through phases of wanting rats--my old roommate had a pair, and they were the sweetest things ever, but both sadly passed away due to health complications.

I'm more of a cat person, though. I like my pets big and fuzzy, if they're not tiny and scaly. xD
