56 gallon column aquascape...
So could anyone help me with this?
I recently rescaped my 56 gallon column tank a bit, added this piece of driftwood that I thought was pretty sweet.... I had jungle val in the back, rotala in the middle before. I took out the vals cause I felt like it just doesn't really flow with the rotala indica and I'd like to see the Rotala grow a bunch and get really tall. I think I'm gonna attach Anubias Congensis to the driftwood. I thought about maybe moving the crypts a little bit and trying a carpet of Dwarf Sag in the front, too. Does anyone have any suggestions... and is the filter kind of sticking out like a sore thumb? here's before the rescape... ![]() and after... was that a bad move..?

i would say that the filter is a little domineering in the middle of the tank and i would mix up the plant species into little group areas. like with a clump of rotala with some crypt at the foot of each clump, you could arrange each little group in the tank to create little regions of plant growth rather than a wall of rotala at back/middle and crypts at front. you could then add more plants to each group to your whim. eh just suggesting, but you could play with the depth of the tank more that way i think.
