Eheim substrat pro. Do I need to clean/rinse before using

Do I need to rinse eheim substrat pro before using it. I plan on using this in a media bag to replace one of the 3 cartridges in my MARINA S15 slots.

I usually just rinse it a bit to get rid of some of the finer dust.

Yea i rinsed mine as well. I didn't see a negative to doing it and you definitely can remove some fine particles as stated above.
