I need help breaking Ryuoh Stone

So I beat the stone with a hammer and chisel and no luck. Anyone have any ideas on breaking this rock without completely ruining it??

Throw it at a bigger rock? Or take it somewhere public and challenge burly men to smash it...

Power tools aside... What sized hammer are you using? Borrow a bigger one?

So you mean a sledge hammer? I'd like to split it into three rocks. Not one rock and dust lol

use a 4 lbs hammer for greater power behind the swing. Use a sledge only if you can control the wield. Wouldnt want to see a collateral damage post afterwards

So slamming it down from a three story building 10 times seemed to do the trick. The hardest part was doing it at 1:00am in the morning without being seen.

Well, shoot. Looks like you figured out a way to get a piece the size you needed! I hope you didn't startle awake the neighbors thinking the hillside was falling into the building! I was going to suggest a cold steel chisel and a hammer, too. That or a masonry bit and multiple holes + the cold steel chisel and hammer. Did it smash into a size you can use now?
