I think those "bacopa" came from me. I also think you are correct that they are really hygrophila. The mis-identification was my fault, not Rich's.

It's possible, although I've never seen H. poly show the horizontal growth we're getting, with almost no vertical (many years ago I remember using it as a typical stem plant, but its been years since I've seen poly in person). from a retail standpoint its impossible to get now, as its banned in MA and on the Federal noxious weeds list.
We get a fair number of other hygro species and its possible its yet another one... or something else. If I see one of my really plant savvy acquaintances I'll ask them if they can ID it for us.

I'm hoping it really is bacopa sp 'japan':

Since I can sell that and I would need to destroy H. poly...

it could be either, really - I'm not sure, but I will totally back you up in identifying it as Bacopa 'Japan' wink wink then maybe I could trade some back in to UA...

Also, we got in some "Burmese chocolate gouramis" this week.
Also known as eyespot gouramis

whatever you say wink wink
I have it growing out of my ears in 3 tanks now, so I when I trade/sell it, I will call it Elatine Triandra...any possibility UA would take back plants in trade for other plants/fish?

ALWAYS !
our basic rule of thumb is, credit worth 1/3rd retail. Best day to bring stuff in is on a Saturday.
