Fish all cramped into one corner

As the title says I have 14 tetras that are all cramped into one corner, I just done all the tests and everything is spot on, the flow is turned right down and the temperatures equal all over, I recently removed a lot of tall plants from the tank now the only one in there is DHG, could it be they don't feel safe now the tank is mostly open and they are cramping in a bottom for security? I have four endlers that bomb around the tank playfully all the time so I'm sure the water quality is not the issue, could the lights be too bright for them or something now there is no shade?, Thanks

The lack of taller plants suddenly would be my guess. I would think that they'd come around after getting used to it, but some hard scape reaching the surface would probably help

Strange because added 5 rummynose tetras in earlier and they are in the corner too, they wouldn't know the difference, they could just be following the neons though, I suppose I'll wait it out and see if they venture out.

All my tetras sit in the back of the tank, never see much of anything. I would guess lights are too bright...
