Question about Planted Tanks
So I had kinda an odd question.... We obviously all love planted tanks. Has anyone on here ever done a planted tank and not stocked it with any inhabitants? Just for fun?

I had strongly considered it, but others convinced me to have fish. The fish are really incidental to me.

I feel like it would be so hard to fight algae without any cleanup crew. But if possible, that would be fun.

Sure, I have quite a few tanks with no livestock.
They are in a cool greenhouse, and temperature fluctuates too much for fish. Plants thrive. Algae occasionally grows. Since there is no livestock I use an algae control chemical along with removal by hand. Mostly there is no algae. Just lots of plants. |
