My Nerite is buried under Fluval Stratum... will he be ok?
I rushed a little too much when transferring some top-off water and my newly acclimated RCS into my Fluval Spec, and I ended up tossing the substrate around a bit. After the dust settled, I can only find one of my two Nerite snails...
I imagine the other one is buried. The Fluval Ebi Shrimp Stratum substrate is pretty light and not compacted at all, but will my snail be able to dig himself out? It would be pretty difficult and messy for me to dig around in there looking for him.

Most snails can dig themselves out.

Thanks. It appears that he is managing. Saw the top of his shell moving some of the surface substrate around a few minutes ago.
It has been a stressful tank-keeping day
