Diatoms and ferts

Hi all,

I currently have had my tank set up for a couple of months and i am just now seeing a diatom boom. I know it isn't harmful but they are bothersome to the eye. I cleaned up my plants and rubbed the diatoms off as much as possible. I am using liquid ferts and using the pps pro method but i am unsure if i am over dosing.

So what is the best way to get rid of diatoms and how accurate is the pps pro method also how to dose it?

Thanks,

TECK
