I'm very happy for you, I know how you feel!

I had a neurologist and an ophthalmologist tell me that they though I could have a brain tumor due to constant migraines and some right eye problems. They sent me to get an MRI to be sure and it took like two weeks to get me an appointment.

Dang those two weeks I appreciated every meal, every kiss from my wife, I was destroyed. But, after the MRI they were sincerely clueless.

I got a massage and discovered how tense my right pectoral, biceps and neck muscles were. Started stretching and nursing the area, and gone. No more headaches nor pain killers since then.

I'm really happy for you, did I already say that?

Such great news!

I had gone through this with my sister a year back. She eventually had her thyroid removed, did the radiation treatment and takes pills daily today. It was only by a rare chance that another doctor had found an odd shaped lump by her thyroid and recommended an xray so early treatment was possible. Good fortune played out as it always does.

Her life experience helped shift my interests into reading into other big picture things where I used to waste hours studying techie guides and specifications. The world had suddenly become more colorful and rich for me, and my family.

Thank you so much, everyone! I'm really stoked. I am sick as a dog, but sooo happy that I don't have metastatic cancer. There appeared to be a ton of lymph node involvement, but it came back "reactive", so it just doesn't like all the weird stuff going on with my body right now. The biopsies completely whacked out my thyroid and it's both hyper AND hypo now... if I'm not sleeping most of the day I'm having hot flashes... it literally takes me 30 minutes to fold a load of laundry, but hey! I can deal with this!

Please, please, please, EVERYONE, when you go in for your regular check-ups get the doctor to grope your throat. I wouldn't have noticed mine if I hadn't been in a dimly lit bathroom and just happened to look in the mirror and notice a strange shadow because of the lighting. I'm supposed to go in for my consult in May (it's super booked -- LOTS of thyroid problems and diabetes in NM for some reason) and should have this sucker out of my throat by June.

You are all wonderful and even though it sounds mushy, I treasure each and every one of you sooo much!
