did anyone see the squid show on Curiosity last night?
Just wondering. It was spectacular! I was surprised and a bit suspicious as to why the squid filmed by the remote camera on the bottom and the one fillmed by the submersible both were missing their long feeding tentacles.

The first one they asked the same question, and the angle that the second squid came in, its possible we just didnt see them. I think the long feeding tentacles bring in the food, so as it was feeding you wouldn't see them.
I am determined to win the lottery and spend part of it seeing a live giant squid.

These pants? are fancy.

If they're anything like market squid I catch in washington, the feeder tentacles only extend past the others while grabbing food, otherwise they are tucked in so they can swim easily
