Used Eheim 2215

I found a used Eheim 2215 selling for $25 in working condition. Only catch is it doesn't include media or an outflow. Is it worth purchasing for the price, and how much can I expect to spend replacing those missing pieces? This would be going on a 20 gallon long that's currently running an AC50. Thanks!

I would purchase it if it was me. You can always purchase bio media from online sellers (Amazon, Kens, BigAls) for cheap.

You can make a diy spray bar out from pvc pipes, look in the DIY section. If you want the green output from Eheim, you can purchase them online also.

as long as its perfectly working then thats a great price. you can get you own media for cheap..unless u want to go with the more pricey eheim media's. def buy it if theres nothing wrong with it.

Would it be an improvement over the AC50? I'd plan on adding an inline heater and diffuser or reactor. Would those be too much of a detriment to the flow?

And any suggestions on what specific media you would get for it?

A bit more info on the canister:
"It's missing the intake tube. No media and may need a small section of 1/2 inch tubing replaced because it may leak from the tubing. I did a cheap fix on it and it was fine but I would still probably replace it. The canister itself doesn't leak. Has a new o-ring and impeller shaft and runs well."

Does dropping the $25 for it still seem like a good idea?

Ask him for picks of all that comes with it then we can tell you what it is missing and if it is a good deal. make sure it has the quick connects

Quick connects spray bar, head of the unit, instake basket intake tube. Lines are cheap to buy at lowes or HD so the tubing missing or busted is cool
