Male or Female CRS?


Well, due to my horrible sexing skills, can you guys sex this shrimp for me?
It practically looks exactly like the figure of my juveniles. Got the pic from EbiGarden blogspot.

Mines are about 6/8 or 7/8 inches. My guess is a male...

All juvies look like male. Females only develop into the classic female shrimp when they are becoming saddled for the first time.

Your shrimp are too young to see if they are juvies

Thanks, I was about to buy some more to make
sure I had both sexes... what size would you say
it's "easy" to sex?

I don't even try to sex shrimp until it's obvious. Which can vary size. Be patient, if yours look like the same size as the photo above you've got a month or two before they'll start breeding.
