ADA stand height?
Hey all,
Looking into equipment for an ADA 60-p tank, and I've been researching what stand to use. I'm leaning towards building an ADA style stand, but I'm curious as to how high I should plan on it being. I realize this is a pretty subjective question, but I'd like to see what people think. Personally, I've measured cabinets and such that I think are roughly the correct height, and came to the conclusion that ~28" seems good. What do you all think? Obviously exact measurements aren't necessary, but generalities like waist height, same size as furniture, comments from anyone that has built one would be greatly appreciated!

I think somewhere around 30" is a pretty good height, but it all depends on how it will fit with the room, how tall the tank is, whether you plan on looking at it from a seated vs. standing position, etc.
There are some good threads over in the DIY section with various stand builds, including some ADA style. |

I just built an ADA stand for a 90-H. The overall height for all ADA stands is 70cm (27.55 inches). I still have my plans. They are in .dwg format. You or anybody else are welcome to them. Just PM me your email address.

My stand is about 30 inches tall, for me, it's the perfect height to view when sitting on the couch, and not too tall when you're working on it

Thanks for the replies. The more I've looked around, the more 28-30" seems right. I'll send you a PM Greg, I greatly appreciate the offer!
