Old residents attacking new residents *sigh* (mollies and bettas and neons, oh my!)

So I have a new heavily planted 45g tall. I am not new to fish keeping and planteds but I haven't had a tank the last five years since we moved.

I started this tank two weeks ago with 2 decent sized male mollies, 5 ghost shrimp and a male betta. Today, my levels reached

NH3 0
NO2 0
NO3 5

and I added one small long fin albino bristlenose and 8 small neons.

The betta flared at the mollies the first two days after he joined the tank. Now he is flaring again. The mollies are nipping at the BN and the betta is chasing the neons.

I know some nipping and flaring is to be expected. How long is a reasonable amount of time to allow for the pecking order to get established again and everyone settle down? I'm new to mollies. Is the nipping typical? I thought they were community fish.
