Ideal Bulbs for 40 breeder planted light fixture
So i have wanted to start planted aquarium journal for a couple of months. I finally got a 40 gallon breeder (petco dollar per gal sale) and bought a JBJ power compact light fixture of craigslist for 28 bucks. it comes with two sockets and there was only one 96 watt helios 10,000k bulb. I have gotten almost all my equipment (i have been patiently gathering for 4 months), and all i need is the bulbs and co2 system. I'm getting frustrated with the fact that i cant figure out what kind of bulb to get

I like the current dual daylight, but catalina has a nice vairety of plant compacts (50 white/50 red, red/blue, white/blue) that would be worth checking out too.

So right now, i am caught in between keeping my light fixture or selling it ($50 offer currently), and i was wondering should i just get 96 watt 6700k from AH supply or should i just sell it and get a 4 bulb t5 fixture ? As far as i can see there are more bulbs to chose from if i get a t5 ho fixture.
