Anyone seen or treated something like this??

Hi All

My angel is in need of help. Not sure if this is bacterial or fungal. I have been treating with quick cure since I had it on hand and not sure which direction to go. It hasnt gotten any worse but not sure if it is getting any better either. I had a fish pass that I dint find for a couple days so noticed nitrate spike and that the angels anal fin was deteriorating. Did PWC and a day later this was on angel where fin once was. Poor guy. He is eating and swimming but sure would like to get him better. Any suggestions? Thanks

Definitely a fungas infection. I'd do a 75% water change and then after treat withMardel Labs MarOxy. 2 main factors that cause it are stress and/or water conditions.

So I couldnt find any MarOxy. I did find some Fungus Cure tablets and moved the fish to 10 gal QT tank. During the move the fungus ball dislodged. I put one tab of fungus med in QT tank and will do 2gal water changes daily (I dont have a filter on the QT tank small town usa lacks in emergency tank set up) to slowly clear out fungus meds while at the same time adding Melafix to hopefully help with the healing and repair process. The spiny bone of the anal fin is visible so not sure how successful regrowth will be but keeping fingers crossed.
