I don't believe that Archaea LED light will give you high light, possibly low light, but not high. It uses .05 watt LEDs, which are noted for being very inefficient, even though it uses a lot of them. Perhaps someone has seen some PAR data for that light?

It said on the ada website that "ARCHAEA “PRO Aquatic Plant Series” LED Lighting System uses specially designed LED lamp dedicated for growing aquatic plants, which provides proper amount of light output that promotes strong photosynthesis activity and ensure that the aquatic plants (includes red stem plants and ground cover that demand high output lighting) to thrive and stay healthy." So I don't know, any info on it would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Will

No idea on the lights but I just added up what you spent. Ouch, is that like one of everything ADA sells?

Should look nice when it's done, although I wouldn't have went for a CO2 cartridge based system, it gets really expensive after a while.

Hey, I am going to be doing a Mini L too, I would skip the refill CO2 system, it would be $15 a month for 1 refill. I would go with the GLA Paintball Atomic V1 or V2. Then add a paintball CO2 24 oz canister, and you can refill it every 5-6 months for $3. Best paintball reg out there and it looks awesome, form + functionality.

Why do you need 18 liters of Aquasoil? I have 9 liters of normal that I am going to use in my Mini L. And that is more than enough for a 3 inch bed (flat). Also since you are using 2 liters of power sand.

20 lbs of ryouh is a lot, 10 lbs should be plenty.

Also why do you need two different hose sizes? 10mm and 13 mm?

I would for sure go with the new and upcoming 45cm AQUASKY.

i wish I had gone with the Stainless steel ADA lily pipes, they are more durable.
But the quality of Do!Aqua is great, they are made of really strong and finely made glass.

Everything else looks good, nice work on buying quality the first time.

The reason why i using 18l of aquasoil is because they were out of the 3l version of the powder type. With the rock I wanted enough variety to really do what I wanted with the aquascape. With the lily pipes I really did not want to be able to see them Also thanks for the complement why not spend the money upfront instead of paying more in the long run and having all the headaches associated with that Thanks, Will

I've seen the archaea lights in person since I live .5 miles from aqua forest. They're nice and are bright enough for a mini L.

These are a different light unit than the older LEDs, not as slim. They look very similar to the finnex ray2 and fugeray lights, although they do cast a slight blue tint to the tank since they have a few blue LEDs in them. They're running these over a lot of the tanks at the shop and on most, they only do 1 fixture. The mini L they have set up uses 1 fixture and its growing all types of plants.

So because I figured that the slim pro doesn't have enough light so I added one of these http://www.marinedepot.com/Current_U...FILDTN-vi.html its a current usa trulumen pro 12in Diamond White strip LED I think it will be enough for it now.
