CRS TDS spike?

so the other day i got my TDS pen because someone advised me that my CRS weren't in the right parameters. My CRS tank is about 5.5 gals and i lowered the TDS to about 150 with distilled water. So i measured every hour about for maybe 5 hours (it was fun testing out my new TDS pen haha) and it was pretty stable. But when i came home today i was just curious, the TDS was over 230. How did this happen? in my tank i have ada amazonia. any thoughts?

i have plants: hydrophilia pinata i believe its called, glosso and dwarf sag. then i have some java moss tied to a lava rock. and i have like a couple of small pieces of coral bits. could the lava rock and coral be the cause of high tds?

It's the coral. Coral is increasing your gh which is also part of your TDS.

Default CRS TDS spike?

It's the coral, it increases TDS, GH and PH. Which isn't bad if that is what you are looking for.
