Testing Rock Safety for Shrimp

So I bought some cool rocks and was just wondering what the best way to test them would be. Right now I have them sitting in a bucket of RO/DI water, and the TDS has gone up to 11 in a little over 24 hours. I would like to use them in my 20L that I plan to have RCS and Amanos in (and eventually CRS).

How much ppm coming off of the rocks is too much for me to be able to use them in my tank?

how often do you plan on doing a water change?

11 tds per day, and lets say 2 weeks between water changes, that's 154 tds over 2 weeks... quite a lot!
