Do you need a permit to sell Apple snails 'diffusa'
Title says it all. Do I need a permit to sell these across state lines? I keep getting mixed info online. Also, are apple snails and mystery snails the same thing? Again, confusing online info.

I knew there were a few out there illegal to sell or illegal to sell without a permit but I wasn't positive on the diffusa. Thanks Bryce!

Any marisa or spixi is illegal (regardless of permit) to transfer across state lines. I think the garden variety petco mystery snails are fine.
They're illegal for a good reason too, btw. They devastate fragile (and hardy) eco-systems very quickly. Marisa eat plants (and so do some spixi), and spixi compete with fish and amphibians for food by eating smaller snails and invertebrates. |

Those are two I had read that were illegal, and a few other types as well. So I wanted to clarify before I took these on since it seemed like you used to have to have a permit to sell these. Looked like the need for it was done away with a couple of years ago from the info I found. But I'd trust coming here and asking over what I was finding on the net.
