Question about Water and CRS

I have a tank of CRS and have been using Albertson's Distilled water for top offs because my tap water has a high PH. I read on one of the shrimp blogs that people were using the RO water sold by Walmart for their shrimp tanks - so yesterday, I truck over to Walmart and buy a 5 gal. jug of their RO water intending on doing a water change.

Before doing so, I looked up online the name of the water, called PRIMO, and according to its water report, it contains 0.016ppm copper - yikes -

Is 0.016 ppm copper considered high enough to hurt the CRS? If so, I don't understand how people are using the PRIMO for their shrimp tanks. I contacted Seachem rep regarding whether Prime would remove the copper and he says it only detoxifies the copper temporaily.

So, my question - my tap water is out. Is the PRIMO water out too? And what can I use for water changes and top offs? It's a small 10 gal tank so purchasing water from the store is my best bet - but I don't know what to buy. Any advice will be greatly helpful. Thanks.

That is .0000016%.
People feed their shrimp spirulina, which can contain up to .005% copper, and they are eating that directly. They do need some copper. It is the high amounts that are dosed for medication that causes issues.
Unless you have excessive evaporation which would cause the concentration to build up, I don't see that as being an issue. Maybe wait for some of the more experienced shrimp keepers to chime in though.

Does the zeolite based filter media pull copper from the water column? You could always run that occasionally if you are concerned.
