New 40 gallon tank and omgpm (dirt)
Just got a 40 gallon breeder thx to petco dollar per gallon.
Taking down the 29 gallon cube Got organic miracle grow potting mix Using fluorite cap What depth of soil under cap ? Is that measured depth after wet or dry? Should I soak the soil for a bit before flooding. I'm in no hurry flooding it. Want it done right I would like to have shrimp in this tank. Will be co2. Difficult plants galore. |

Algae Grower
|
i have a 20 gallon long with miracle soil and i have only about 1 inch depth on the soil. I've had the tank a little over a year now and running great, it grows hc and difficult stem plants with ease, there are many algae problems in the beginning if you don't do it right. Be sure to start with lots of plant matter and lots of water changes to prevent algae from taking control. Hope this helps!
