Fluval edge filter not pushing water

Calling all edge owners, my 6gal water filter is no longer pushing water...I have had intermittent problems with it doing this but I cleaned the presponge, and filter sponge, changed filter sponge...this seemed to work, not I just cant get it flowing again, its a trickle from the filter right now. Has anyone had this problem? Is a part wearing out? I can see the impeller spinning away if I remove the little cover, the intake is down firmly against the impeller guard, any help is appreciated!

First question is can you hear the impela rattling around or the sound of air sucking?

In the event that the impeller isn't moving, I've had my impeller stick a few times, and just poking it with a chopstick or something got it going.

Have you cleaned the impeller magnet shaft? Pull the impeller out (carefully) and use a toothbrush to clean it. Rinse it off and put it back together.
