Help ID this guy in my filter

I found this guy while cleaning my filter yesterday, any ideas what he is? Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I wasn't sure where else to post it...

Scud
Great live food for small fish. Will eat leftover fish food and or any fish that die in
the tank. If the tank is large enough to support a good populaton of them, they will clean a dead Barb overnight but not a large fish like a grown chichlid.
But they have been known to harm some plants if no other food exist in the tank.
Usually the fish keep down their population.

Thanks! I thought he may have been some kind of parasite, so I washed him down the drain... I'll know better for next time!

That's probably not the only one in your tank. Hopefully you didn't find it in a filter that's running a shrimp only tank since it will be nearly impossible to get rid of these little savages. Scuds will eat your mosses like candy.
