Black Neon Tetra Hanging by the Heater

Hi all,

I have a school of 8 black neon tetra who are all healthy and fine, they seem to be hanging by the heater a lot lately. Any ideas what could cause that?

Thanks,

TECK

Water change?

Is your tank near a doorway? Drafts make one corner of a tank cooler than another. Stick a thermometer to a suction opposite the corner a heater is located

Otherwise, most tetras are known to school away from cool currents when not feeding. They prefer to just mellow out in +80F soft water

I just did a water change, could having a ceiling fan have anything to do with it?
