Welcome Jimbojam!

I just started my 100 gallon a couple of weeks ago....I used 5 bags (75lbs) flourite and 150 lbs of fine pea gravel that is used in pool filters.

Yeah, It varies from the front to the back and from one side to the other the way I have it sloped. In the front where there is only small microtennellus (pygmy chainsword) it is about 2 inches and slopes up from there.

Oh... also thanks for the welcome.

The mix of pea gravel and florite, is that because of the cost of florite? or is there something i'm missing?
Thanks Jim

You might want to look at the new Eco-Complete substrate. It's getting some great reviews.
