10 Gallon Lighting Question
Hi all, I have a 10 Gallon QT tank that I don't use all that often. I was thinking about setting it up as a grow out tank for some of my trimmings etc while I populate my 55 with more plants. The 10g has a el-cheapo incandescent hood. Would a couple of cfl 6500k bulbs be adequate for this purpose?
I intend to use yogurt cups with STS in them as planting pots so in the event I need to use the tank as a QT I can move the plants to the main tank. Now that being said does a tank like this need BB? I realize that if I put fish in there I will need to add cycled media from my main tank to do that. Suggestions are appreciated.

6500k bulbs should be fine. If it's JUST plants then you shouldn't have to worry about BB.
