Northern Jersey Stores

We took a rode trip over the weekend and hit 3 of the well known stores discussed on here. First stop was Pet Shanty in Scotch Plains. I grabbed 2 nice pieces of driftwood for $22 & $23, they had a nice selection of driftwood and rocks. They had a nice selection of fish, and some plants. I also picked up a complete test kit. Older one i bought piece meal. The second stop on our trip was the Shark Aquarium in Hillside. The reason we stopped here was for a sting-ray pleco, but once we got there we found it is a cold water breed and they didn't realize it until it was too late they died. He would not be able to go in my girlfriends tank anyway. I grabbed my substrate here, 6 bags of eco-complete. I use 4 bags of black and put the 2 bags of red on top and swirled it in to mix. They are a huge selection of fish. They had a nice selection of rocks of different types and size. Our third stop was to Aquascapes in Belleville. I had to swing by here and grab a Red Belly Piranha to replace of the 6 I bought thru the mail. They had a great selection of the larger more aggressive fish breeds. They are in the process of expanding and taking over the space next door.

We wanted to hit Ridgewood Aquarium Imports in Ridgewood, but we ran short on time, I emailed them the day before to confirm store hours, they were going to be open til 5:30 on Saturday.

I was looking to grab my CO2 Reactor, but none of the places had a system big enough for my 125 gallon tank. I started the fishless cycle last night. I attached pic of the bottom and some driftwood, need couple more pieces.
