Thanks everyone for the advise, now trying to narrow the list down.

Few more questions.
Tiger Lotus, is 3 still too many or should I do away with it all together? Should it be spread out or all in same place?

Any very easy stem plants I could use to fill in?

If your wife hired me to tie you up in front of the 125, and make you watch me plant a simple scape, much like the rehabilitation scene in Clock Work Orange, this what I would do:

Dwarf Sagittaria - 200

Rosette Sword Plant - 9

Amazon Swords - 3

Red Melon Sword - 12

Take out ALL the rocks on the left and 1 of the 2 in the center. Plant the 3 Amazon Swords in the right rear, in a triangle, 1 in the corner, 1 along the right side, 1 in back next to the corner plant.

Cluster the Rosette Swords in the front middle under the driftwood.

Plant the Red Melons in a Isosceles triangle in the left rear with the longer side of the triangle along the back of the tank.

Fill everything else in the left/center with dwarf sag.

DONE

Once you agreed to leave it alone for 3mos, I'd untie you.



The less variables, the less can go wrong.

BTW - I would dump in an arm full of Hornwort or Water Lettuce until we got your tank in balance and the plants were thriving, maybe 2-3 wks time.

STAUROGYNE SP. 'BIHAR' does well in low light and no CO2.

I would add a mess of ludwigia repens. Grows great and easy to propagate. Same with rotalla. I noticed your list did not have any stems. I also would agree with the others, limit the plant selection to say...6-7.

Ha ha, that good advise. Sometimes I would just like to give someone the funds and say here plant this tank for me so I can enjoy it.

I see conflicting info about these 2 plants, they are not the same are they? Once gets much taller?

I find some time on Google image helps me get a feel for plants I haven't keep yet. I believe you might find a pic of an Amazon sword that completely fills a 10gl tank. I always liked that pic.

The red sword I have in my low light tank is about 5 inches wide.

I think 6 Amazon swords is major overkill - they will overfill your tank, they get huge, and can be hard to remove! I personally wouldn't put more than one in my 125...

Amazons get really big. Like mine is probably about 20" high x 16" wide and that is a baby of the mother plant that I removed.

What would I fill entire back ground with if I only got 1?
