Balancing an 8 gallon

I've got a fluval flora with 2 pcl 13watt lights. I've got Aquasoil new amazonia. I've recently purchased co2 for the setup. I've got an algae outbreak and I've cut the photoperiod a lot. I'm trying to grow hc. What bubble count would be adequate to grow hc and balance out with the two lights that I've got without algae problems.

if it helps, i recently tore down my fluval flora. 26 watt cfl, pressurized co2, ei dosing. when i first started i had an algae outbreak. i tore the tank down cleaned everything, increase co2 and everything went smoothly from there. bubble count doesnt matter. whats more important is how your diffusing co2, water flow, your fert dosing, and balance. balancing my fluval flora, i changed the direction of my filter outflow, put my diffuser in a better spot where i could see the co2 bubbles being disperse thru the whole tank via water flow (later upgraded to an inline co2 atomizer), dialed in my ferts using the calculator, and increased co2 gradually until my drop checker turned green within an hour. bubble count only tells you how much co2 your using in YOUR setup and is only relevant to you. my bubble count was 4 bps. some ppl will tell u 1bps, 2bps, 3bps, doesnt matter.

Algae can be a bit of a pain. In my experience when i start a tank i really jam pack it with plants and provide lots of nutrients. I also am a huge believer of low light because it just makes things soo much easier. I tried high light/ medium light with pressurized co2 and still got lots of algae. I'm not sure how people can get high/medium light tanks without it. I would try just a single light over that tank and just try it for a while and see how things go. Also patients is a huge part of the plant game because your plants need time to adapt to new growing conditions. Your plants are reflecting your waters parameters of almost a month ago. Any change should be made then you need to wait close to a month to see if that helped. Then adjust more accordingly.

My tank was out of balance and it took me close to a year to finally get it back in balance. Patience was my biggest problem it wasn't until i started Medical School that my plants started to grow better because i wasn't able to fidget with my parameters all the time.
