plant id please and thank you
so i went to the pet shop a couple days before christmas and got a plant but no clue what it is or how to plant it and i need to pretty soon cause one end is starting to get mushy. thanks for any and all help

It's a pond lily, as for the exact type you can't tell till it grows more.
Remove the rotted areas and keep it submerged in water till figure out where you want to plant it. You can also break it 4 different plants where the leaves are sprouting out. They grow about 1"-2" day |

Definitely looks like a lily. A tiger lily perhaps?

It's a Hardy Waterlily. Lay it down on its side, and weight it down if necessary. Don't cover the growing tips.
