Hello folks, just thought I'd post a quick intro

Been "kind of" into aquariums for pretty much 20+ years, but only really now had the time, money and opportunity to think about heading towards a decent starter tank. In the past I've always either had those kitchen-tank-of-algal-delight with nothing but the every-expanding Pleco surviving in the murk (and of course a token koolie, not found until the last of the gravel is thrown away).

Happily now got a little 60L tank started (and even have The Boss' approval!)

Photography is another hobby, so will probably try and combine the two

This tank is now about two months settled, so had the initial crop of births (snails), deaths (tetras) and homicides (puffer, see tetras).

Thanks in advance for any hints and tips as I start ramping up to the questions - I already envisage some coming on plants, as I want to keep the real plants rather than resort to plastic ones, and probably species-combinations that don't consider each other as snacks.

The current population stands at

• 2x Gold Cobra Guppy
• 6x Purple Harlequin Barb
• 1x Cherry Shrimp
• 2x Gold Ring Butterfly Sucker
• 6x Rosy Barb
