Catalina&Odyssea
Has anyone used the power compact 65watt catalina or odyssea and if so what bulbs did you use for planted tank.I can get the 10000k or the 6500k or a plant bulb.I was thinking about the 6500k and maybe the plant bulb or should I go with the 6500k and 10000k or all 6500k.

I'm using the catalina setup and the plants are growing fine. That said, I'm hardly challenging myself: bacopa austrailis, sagittaria subulata, anubias barteri var. barteri and vals.
With co2 the bacopa need trimming every two weeks. Generally, things grow at a stately pace for me, but ymmv. Definitely problem free with easy growers in my 54 gallon. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. |
