This seems really cool as I drink a pot of coffee every two days. So I got lots of extra grinds! It'll be funny if you put in fish/shrimp and they start whizzing around from the caffine. But I think most likely they'll just drop dead 3: !! How are you taking those photos, they look really vintage haha.

From what little I know of coffee roasting, the more you roast, the stronger the flavor, but the lower the caffeine amount. Does baking at 200* for 30 mins help eradicate any caffeine remaining after the rinse then?

This is an ingenious idea. What do you plan on for livestock?

It's those cold Chicago winters that drives these quests for new and improved ways to do the same thing. A lot of folks use their coffee grounds in compost and it the yard, at the moment I can't remember the exact use but going green, recycling, and Yankee ingenuity are all good things. I'll be curious to see what results come of all these experiments. Plus at the least it's great entertainment.

Interested to see how this turns out. I throw my coffee grounds in the compost, never thought to put them in my fish tank though!
